“The Production features a more mature Alice and combines absurdity and humor while Alice investigates the surreal and fantastic imaginary universe she has created in Wonderland,” says Charles Maple. “The ballet celebrates the versatility and style of the Maple Ballet, and its’ mission to create works that speak to a diverse audience.” “The Production features a more mature Alice and combines absurdity and humor while Alice investigates the surreal and fantastic imaginary universe she has created in Wonderland,” says Mr. Maple. “The ballet celebrates the versatility and style of the Maple Ballet, and its’ mission to create works that speak to a diverse audience.” “In terms of cleverness, humor and originality, Alice in Wonderland will take the audience beyond the classic fairy tale. They’ll leave the ballet with a bit of a Cheshire cat’s grin.” The production promises to stir emotions, unleash childhood memories and introduce the classic fairytale to a new generation. “Alice in Wonderland” performs at the Irvine Barclay Theatre, Irvine (4242 Campus Drive, Irvine 92612) on Saturday, April 23 at 1:30pm and 6:30pm. General admission $28; children and seniors 65 and over, $24. For groups over 10, discount on regularly priced tickets available. $50 premium gold level seating for 6:30pm performance also includes admission into a private reception before the show (no discounts). Don’t miss the Mad Hatter's Tea Event from 4pm to 6pm, which includes a light meal, special activities for children and a performer meet and greet. Tickets to the show must be purchased separately. On April 23rd, the Irvine Barclay Theatre will host two showings of “Alice In Wonderland” . The shows are based upon Lewis Carroll’s famous stories Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass, the Maple Ballet. Tickets are currently on sale.
