While driving to see her boyfriend, 37 year old Megan Mariah Barness decided she wanted to be ready for her man, and asked her ex-husband, who was in the passenger seat, to take the wheel so she could shave her bikini area. "She said she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit," Trooper Gary Dunick said. "If I wasn't there, I wouldn't have believed it.

Megan Mariah Barnes however shouldn’t have been behind the wheel in the first place. The day before the accident she was convicted of a DUI with a prior and driving with a suspended license. She had been sentenced to impound her car and she received a suspended license for 5 years. Even after the 5 years however, this 37 year old woman would need a Breathalyzer ignition interlock device on any vehicle she drives.

Barnes is charged with driving with a revoked license, reckless driving, leaving the scene of a wreck with injuries and driving with no insurance.

The real question, however, is what was the ex-husband doing with her in the car?
