A big sigh of relief today for all Weezer fans who were waiting and holding their breath trying to find out when the and will be back on the road. Today on their website is the message “It's with relief that I can announce that Rivers' recovery has gone very well, and he is feeling up to rock and roll once again,"”
December 9th, 2009 a tour bus carrying the singer Rivers Cuomo, his family, and his assistant Sarah Kim hit a patch of black ice and careened off of Interstate 90.

The accident left all future shows for the band up in limbo with all shows in January and February canceled.

The group is already committed to a May 2 appearance at the eastern version of the Bamboozle outdoor festival, which will take place at New Meadowland Stadium.

Weezer however won’t be in the southern California version of the music festival. =(
