The 2010 Orange County Music Awards nominees are in and it will give some a second chance to win. Thrice is up for Best Alternative band, last year they lost out to Venus Infers, who wont be in this year's event.

Along with the nomination for Best Alternative, Thrice is also fighting for Best Rock. Also featured in the same two categories, is local Stereofix.

For Best Album, its Melanoid, rock legends that make up Saosin, Dusty Rhodes and the River Band, Michael Ubaldini,  and , can you guess it? Thrice once again.

Sugar Ray has won the “Orange County Impact Award”, a title that last year went to the world famous The Vandals.  And the lifetime Achievement award will goto Martin Brown.

Reel Big Fish also made a nomination this year, for Best World. With hit songs like “Sell Out”, this now independent band just released a live dvd that was recorded at none other than the Grove in Anaheim just last year.
