California will experience an all-time low, referring to the band All Time Low, starting this Thursday, June 21st at Irvine’s Orange County Great Park when the 2012 Vans Warped Tour begins their Golden State rounds. This year’s Warped Tour features five California dates spread between this Thursday and Wednesday, June 27th. Warped Tour veterans All Time Low plays at each stop.
Anyone who has seen All Time Low live before knows the band thrives when performing. All Time Low guitarist/vocalist Alex Gaskarth publically states, “We hate to stop touring. Rather than locking ourselves in the studio, we're always hopping around and changing environments. It helps refresh everybody and breathes new life into our songs.” Judging by the Youtube results generated for searching “All Time Low live Vans Warped Tour” you can deduce All Time Low especially enjoys “hopping around” on-stage at the Warped Tour and the “changing environments” the tour provides. In fact every show the band does appears unique in one fashion or another. Too often groups rely on basic tricks to engage audiences. For instance, shouting “I can’t hear you” to get crowds to roar louder or instructing the people to clap their hands. Alex Gaskarth however genuinely connects to crowds by staying attentive to them and responding appropriately. Perhaps this proves one reason why Warped Tour personnel decided to place All Time Low on the annual Warped Tour compilation album cover. The 2012 cover art captures Alex Gaskarth at a past Warped Tour standing at the edge of the stage looking out at a vast crowd. Other groups to grace the compilation’s cover in years past include NOFX, Rancid, and All Time Low’s idols Blink 182. The first chance to watch All Time Low live in California at the 2012 Van s Warped Tour comes this Thursday, June 21st at Irvine’s Orange County Great Park. From there the tour’s Golden State schedule goes as follows. Friday, June 22nd- Pomona Fairplex in Pomona Saturday, June 23rd- AT & T Park Lot A in San Francisco Sunday, June 24th- Ventura County Fair in Ventura Wednesday, June 27th- Cricket Wireless Amphitheatre in Chula Vista Tickets still remain available for each date so make sure to visit www.vanswarpedtour.com/dates today.
