Monster Jam features a supersized adrenalin rush other entertainment forms fail to rival. Preshow festivities enable Monster Jam to standout further by creating very interactive environments. The events enable you to meet drivers and see the gigantic monster trucks up close. Trucks scheduled to appear at the various Southern California Monster Jam shows include Grave Digger, Grave Digger Legend, the debuting Metal Mulisha, Spider-Man, Maximum Destruction, Iron Man, El Toro Loco, plus many more.
Musawwir became hooked on Monster Jam at six years old when his mother took him to his first Monster Jam show at the Pontiac Silverdome. When asked what about the show captured his attention Bari commented, “The sheer size and power of the trucks.” “It was really larger than life” he added. After his first Monster Jam experience Musawwir attended all the Monster Jam events he could around his hometown growing up. Ultimately Bari dreamed about becoming a Monster Jam driver himself. At this point Musawwir’s story begins to differ from his peers. Instead of getting into other motocross sports and transitioning to monster trucks, the man who now mans the Spider-Man truck entered radio-controlled (R/C) monster trucks. His R/C monster truck skills earned him the opportunity to sit in the driver’s seat of the real deal. Musawwir seized the chance, becoming a star driver in a very short time.
Musawwir calls the opportunity to compete while Monster Jam celebrates Grave Digger’s 30th anniversary, “Incredible.” He goes on to say “Dennis (Anderson) and his team deserves to be commended, who knows where the sport would be without Grave Digger.” For both the February 11th show at Angel Stadium and February 18th event at Dodger Stadium Monster Jam will celebrate Grave Digger’s 30th anniversary with a thorough interactive experience at the respective preshow Party in the Pits. These special Party in the Pits will feature a historical Grave Digger timeline, limited Grave Digger 30th anniversary merchandise, video highlights of the iconic monster truck over the previous 30 years, and so much more. Diehard Monster Jam fans will consider the February 11th and February 18th Party in the Pits must attend events. Additionally on February 11th and February 18th you will get to see the truck Bari Musawwir drove during his 2011 Rookie of the Year campaign El Toro Loco in action. Army veteran Chuck Werner sits behind El Toro Loco’s wheel this year. Tickets to see Musawwir, Werner, and the many other monster truck drivers compete at Angel Stadium Saturday, January 28th or Saturday, February 11th and Dodger Stadium Saturday, February 18th start around $20 for adults and $10 for kids. If you wish to get close and personal with the drivers, total access passes cost $75. Party in the Pits tickets for the February 11th and February 18th Grave Digger 30thAnniversary Experience can be picked up for $10 a pop, quite a deal for Monster Jam fanatics. All in all you can almost guarantee Monster Jam will provide highly entertaining nights when the monster trucks roar into Southern California later this month and February. Angel Stadium hosts Monster Jam Saturday, January 28th and Saturday, February 11th. Monster truck mayhem hits Dodger Stadium Saturday, February 18th. The total access pass activities go from 2:00pm to 3:00pm. The Party in the Pits starts after that and come 7:00pm the roaring high energy competition begins. Before Albert Pujols and Matt Kemp demonstrate their power at Angel Stadium and Dodger Stadium this year, Monster Jam will awe crowds when the stadiums get transformed into the breeding grounds for the destructible forces known as monster trucks. Monster Jam will captivate Southern California audiences at Angel Stadium Saturday, January 28th and Saturday, February 11th. On Saturday, February 18th Monster Jam brings their brand of mayhem to Dodger Stadium. The fact this year marks the legendary Grave Digger’s 30th anniversary makes the shows that much more special.
Recently OC Reloaded caught up with Bari Musawwir, current driver of Marvel’s Spider-Man truck and last year’s Monster Jam Rookie of the Year winner. Musawwir will step behind the wheel of the Spider-Man truck Saturday, January 28th and compete at Angel Stadium. If you plan to attend Monster Jam that Saturday in Anaheim, do yourself a favor and visit Bari at the preshow activities albeit the total access event or Party in the Pits. His story proves unique and inspiring.
Impressed by his 2011 rookie of the year campaign driving the El Toro Loco monster truck Marvel contacted Musawwir to represent the Spider-Man truck in 2012. Bari enthusiastically accepted the offer. The match seems ideal given the driver’s history. Superhero themed trucks such as the Spider-Man one often attract children at the preshow events. This puts Musawwir in the position to share his story with kids and encourage them to chase their own dreams.
