At Pacific Festival in 2010 DJ DC (real name Rene Brunner) according to reports broke the world record of longest DJ set of 121 hours; however for reasons unknown it wasn’t recorded by the he Guinness Book of World Records. This time they are hoping things will be a little different for the DJ.

Before that event at Pacific Festival, DJ DC set marathon performance records of 76 hours and 93 hours before his world record was beat by a rival Swiss DJ at 120 hours and 19 minutes. Now, he will do it a second time – however this time he plans to beat it by 30 hours.

The record breaking set started on October 2nd and is going on right now.  You can watch live at http://www.worldrecorddj.com/ like we have been over the last couple of days, and I must say while I’m sure he is saving his best stuff for the celebration this Friday, 10/7, at 7PM (he is scheduled to beat the record at 7:50pm), he has been impressively mixing and beat matching with ease even now – 4 days into it.

The only rule we know of is that he can take a 1 (5) minute break every hour, however, I’m sure there are many others we don’t know about.

The Yost Theater is located at 307 N. Spurgeon Street, Santa Ana CA 92701. See you Friday at 7PM ! For more information visit www.worldrecorddj.com , or call the yost directly 888-862-9573.
