Two-time Grammy award winning artists Linkin Park will travel to Los Angeles Wednesday, August 31st to play a small private concert. Want to know the best part? You could go! Imagine the jealously your friends and family will conjure up when they find out you get to attend the special Linkin Park performance. Only 500 pairs of tickets are available for the show. 1000 people may not seem like an intimate group size but the band normally plays for thousands and thousands. Not to mention Linkin Park will only play one other concert in the United States over the next two months.

Linkin Park’s megastar power and tenure in the music industry serves as a massive edge for creating unforgettable performances. When the beginnings to hit songs, like “In the End” and “New Divide,” echo from the stage you will find yourself lost in the crowd erupting in excitement. Before you know it you’ll have your arms in the air while singing along to the songs. Linkin Park provides a stellar balance between old and new on their set lists too, playing everything from “Faint” and “Numb” to “What I’ve Done” and “Waiting for the End.” The band members themselves personify their music’s energetic sound through showcasing great vigor in playing their instruments and moving around stage.

To score an invite to Linkin Park’s private Los Angeles concert visit http://www.give2gether.com/projects/music-for-relief/ and take the fundraising challenge to raise money for Japanese children affected by the most recent natural disasters. The first 500 individuals to raise $500 will receive two tickets for August 31st. Details on creating an account to start raising funds can be found in a video, titled “how to create your page & begin raising funds,” halfway down the website. In another video on the website Linkin Park acknowledges $500 seems like a lot of money but sends the reminder “the whole point is to raise money for Japan.” Wednesday, August 24th at 12:00pm PDT marks the deadline for fundraising.

Beyond the two passes to attend the private concert Linkin Park offers incentives to raise more than $500. The 10 individuals who raise the most money receive a meet and greet pass and a signed instrument from Linkin Park’s past European/UK tour. The person who raises the most money gets to watch the Los Angeles concert from the stage! The top fundraiser also gets first choice on the signed instruments. With such prizes the fundraiser becomes an unbelievable opportunity for diehard Linkin Park fans. You can keep an eye on your fundraising competition at the event’s website by clicking the “ticket holders” tab under the webpage’s donor section.

For those who keep up with Linkin Park the fundraising contest should come as no surprise. Six years ago the band founded Music for Relief, the company presenting the private Los Angeles concert. In these six years Music for Relief raised over $4 million for similar causes. Overall charitable work provides a special satisfaction. The pleasure you will obtain from raising money for Japan will only make attending Linkin Park’s private Los Angeles show Wednesday, August 31st that much more enjoyable.
