The critically acclaimed A Skylit Drive looks to light up music fans with excitement this summer on the 2011 Vans Warped Tour. A Skylit Drive will spend their entire summer on the Warped Tour, giving California fans multiple opportunities to experience a group Alternative Press describes as “firing on all cylinders.” Fans in Pomona get first dibs on seeing A Skylit Drive live when the Warped Tour rolls into town Friday, July 1st. The next day the Vans Warped Tour visits Mountain View, followed by Ventura Sunday, July 3rd. In August A Skylit Drive returns to the Golden State for stops in San Diego (Tuesday, August 9th), Carson (Wednesday, August 10th), and Marysville (Thursday, August 11th).

A special comradery will overtake California when A Skylit Drive takes the stage at the 2011 Vans Warped Tour. Front man Michael Jagmin, better known to A Skylit Drive fans as “Jag,” described the group’s connection to the state in Alternative Press when explaining the meaning behind the group’s new track “The Cali Buds,” “We all live in California, so we have a ton of friends out there. Friendship means more to us than anything.” With their friends in attendance you can rest assure A Skylit Drive will deliver with their Warped Tour sets.

“The Cali Buds” comes from the group’s newest release, Identity on Fire. The album, released in March, set the tone for the momentous year A Skylit Drive enjoyed so far. Like the band’s two previous albums, Adelphia and Wires…and the Concept of Breathing, Identity on Fire landed on the Billboard 200 Albums chart. The new release captured the 98th spot. In February the band spent time touring with Underoath. After the summer A Skylit Drive gets set to headline a tour across Europe. Acts joining A Skylit Drive on the road in Europe includes I Set My Friends on Fire, Sleeping With Sirens, and Woe, Is Me.

The Vans Warped Tour will give A Skylit Drive an opportunity to better acquaint themselves with Woe, Is Me and I Set My Friends on Fire. Warped Tour dates Woe, Is Me and A Skylit Drive share in common includes the first three California stops. I Set My Friends on Fire, like A Skylit Drive, plays at all six 2011 Warped Tour shows in California. Considering the upcoming European trip A Skylit Drive could possibly use the summer to collaborate with Woe, Is Me and I Set My Friends on Fire. Such collaboration could help enhance the Warped Tour experience for fans.

If you stop to see A Skylit Drive during the Warped Tour, their energetic stage presence will consume you. You’ll find yourself moving to their music without even realizing it. Jag’s voice really helps to make A Skylit Drive standout from other bands. Jordan Smith, A Skylit Drive fan, stated “Michael's voice is very, very different and gives the band a different, more soothing sort of an aura.” Combined with bassist/screamer Brian White’s vocals A Skylit Drive creates a sound bound to leave a lasting impression. Do yourself a favor and make sure to check out A Skylit Drive while at this year’s Vans Warped Tour.
