Alternative rock sensation Paramore returns to the Vans Warped Tour spotlight this year with seven Warped Tour dates. Paramore will perform from Thursday, July 14th to Wednesday, July 20th in addition to Tuesday, August 9th. Tuesday, August 9th, at The Cricket Amphitheatre in San Diego, provides the only opportunity this summer for California residents to watch Paramore rock out the Warped Tour stage in the Golden State.

Before becoming a reoccurring name on the Billboard Albums of the Year charts or having eight songs place amongst the Billboard Hot 100 charts Paramore participated in the Vans Warped Tour. The group first played on the Warped Tour in 2005, when still novice teenagers. 2011 marks the sixth time the band travels on the tour. Vocalist Hayley Williams noted during a recent acoustic performance in Los Angeles to honor Kevin Lyman, the man who booked Paramore on their first Warped Tour, “That’s another reason we’re on the Warped Tour again this year because we love it. We can’t get enough, we can’t get enough of it.”

Despite a controversial end to 2010 Paramore continues strong. Rumors the band split up spread after brothers Josh Farro (guitar) and Zac Farro (drums) left the band. In the two’s “Exit Statement” the brothers accused their management of showing favoritism towards Williams. Williams along with guitarist Taylor York and bassist Jeremy Davis sat down with MTV to set the record straight and reassure fans Paramore will move forward.

During a February tour in South America the group substituted the Farro brothers with guitarist Justin York (Taylor’s brother) and drummer Josh Freese. Talks about permanent replacements, however, have yet to go public. Paramore did spend time in the studio this past March to create new music. In the studio York assumed double duty, playing the drums in addition to the guitar. When we asked if Justin York and Josh Freese would join Paramore onstage this summer for the Warped Tour, Williams replied “Justin will most likely… but Josh Freese will be out on other tours!”

The Vans Warped Tour displayed their excitement to have Paramore back on the road by placing the band on the cover of this year’s Warped Tour compilation album. The cover features Williams, York, and Davis performing at the 2007 Warped Tour. As seasoned tour veterans Paramore knows how to engage the event’s audience and give a memorable show. Make sure to get your tickets for Tuesday, August 9th at The Cricket Amphitheatre in San Diego if you want to see Paramore at this year’s Warped Tour.
