In just one year Pacific Festival has decided it’s time to move to a bigger location. Last year the very first Pacific Festival took place at Triangle Square in Costa Mesa and by all accounts, was very successful. In fact, I personally thought that was a great location for an intimate event. This year however things won’t be as intimate, and a bit more massive.

for pictures and our review of last year's Pacific Festival.

On August 13, 2011, Pacific Festival OC will take place at Irvine Lake (Oak Canyon Ranch) and will feature 30+ Artists. The event is scheduled to start at 11AM and go on all day and night. VIP tickets are available and for the hosted VIP option, Access to complimentary appetizers, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverage services from 11:00am-12:00am.

A recently published press release provided some insight into this year’s festival:

Pacific Festival: OC will showcase over 30 of independent music's most talented live acts and DJs from around the world across four premium soundstages at an incredible, picturesque lakeside venue within the heart of Orange County. Pacific Festival: OC is pleased to announce the first round of performers which include: CUT COPY, STEVE AOKI, !!! (CHK CHK CHK), PHANTOGRAM, TORO Y MOI, CLASSIXX, AFROMAN, ZOOT WOMAN, THE TWELVES, FRED FALKE, THE GROWLERS, HANNI EL KHATIB, SUPERHUMANOIDS, AMERICAN ROYALTY, JUSTIN MILLER, THE C90S and KEDD COOK (more artists to be announced each week). "The festival has a good mix of genres, not covering just dance music or just indie rock like so many new festivals," states Golden Bloggen about last year's launch.

Activating this breathtaking space, the organizers have once again designed an upscale music event with the finest amenities and production. VIP and OPEN BAR tickets will be available for guests looking for a first-class experience. Attendees will have access to a wide range of food and beverage options on the event grounds, representing Orange County's global fares.

Featuring international live acts, DJs and notable local acts, this year's festival has been curated to keep attendees entertained from morning to night. Hosted by world-renowned celebrity photographer THE COBRA SNAKE, Pacific Festival: OC will also showcase art installations and local businesses within the Vendor Village, where attendees can shop and entertain their other senses. Pacific Festival: OC 2011 aims to create an unparalleled experience for the music fan living in Southern California. Furthermore, Pacific Festival: OC will bring attention and support to a national non-profit that protects the California coastline, which will be announced coming weeks.

The event's website, www.pacificfestival.com doesn't have information on this year's festival just yet (except for a cool teaser trailer!), but I’m sure in the coming months they will update it!
