As spring blossoms House of Blues (HOB) Anaheim, who celebrated their 10th anniversary this past January with a 13 show concert series, continues to offer music enthusiasts a wide range of music. The variety of artists HOB Anaheim hosts has made the venue a premier spot for music lovers. January’s 10th anniversary concert series displayed this with a lineup which ranged from Willie Nelson and Styx to Underoath and Motorhead. The variety theme will continue to resonate throughout House of Blues Anaheim over the next two months as the venue hosts artists like House of Pain, Katchafire, and Cold.
Hip hop fans will want to make sure they are at HOB Anaheim Saturday, March 19th when House of Pain performs. Big B, whose sound mixes hip hop with some alternative rock elements, opens for House of Pain. The group came to fame in the early 1990s for the track “Jump Around.” The song went on to obtain iconic stature. Having the opportunity to stand in a crowd jumping up and down with your arms in the air as House of Pain performs “Jump Around” will be an experience you want to have. Tickets for the March 19th show range in price from $15 (four packs) to $42.50 (pews). A smoother sound will echo from House of Blues Anaheim on Thursday, March 24th when Katchafire, along with opening act Tomorrows Bad Seeds, take the stage. Tomorrows Bad Seeds offers diversity in their music which transcends into their live performances. For instance, the song “Vices” contains a jazz-like harmony which the band sways to onstage while the track “Warrior Poet” has a heavier alternative rock vibe which band members emulate with more forceful movements. Fans of Katchafire’s reggae sound will greatly anticipate the group’s March 24th concert. For Katchafire, their current tour marks their return to the United States and they will likely be promoting their new album On the Road. The price range for Katchafire/Tomorrows Bad Seeds tickets is the same as the House of Pain show. Alternative rock fans will have fun Sunday, March 27th when Good Charlotte plays HOB Anaheim. Opening for Good Charlotte will be a trio of bands- The Black Cloud Collective, This Century, and Forever the Sickest Kids (FTSK). FTSK proves notable for the veteran presence they have onstage despite only being together a few years. Lead vocalist Jonathan Cook knows how to engage the audience while the band’s guitarists rock back and forth causing their long hair to wave all around giving birth to the classic rock star image. In many ways Jonathan Cook and Forever the Sickest Kids will act as an ideal opener for Good Charlotte. front man for Good Charlotte, Joel Madden also knows how to entice his crowd. With hits like “Hold On” and “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” the excitement level inside House of Blues Anaheim will hit a new peak. Ticket prices for the Good Charlotte show varies from $18 (four pack) to $42.50 (pews). HOB Anaheim will have rock fans lining up at the venue in April to see bands such as Cold and Papa Roach. Cold will perform Tuesday, April 19th with Egypt Central and Kopek serving as the opening acts. Cold’s heavier rock music gives fans a great outlet to release their frustrations. Moving to the music and pumping the rock sign up in the air can be very therapeutic. Ticket prices for the Cold show start at $9.38 (four pack) and max out at $33.50 (pews). When Papa Roach comes to House of Blues Anaheim on Monday, April 25th they will bring along Finger Eleven as their opening act. Getting to see Papa Roach and Finger Eleven in an intimate setting like House of Blues Anaheim is an opportunity any true rock fan will want to seize. Both groups can rightfully headline stadium shows. Ticket prices for the concert, which range from $20.25 (four pack) to $55 (pews), only sweetens the deal. Resurrecting Billy Mayes from the dead may be the only way to fairly pitch what a great prospect seeing Papa Roach and Finger Eleven together at HOB Anaheim is. House of Blues Anaheim over the past 10 years has gained a reputation for providing intensely fun concerts which will leave you with many fond memories. As the schedule for the next two months illustrates, this isn’t going to change anytime soon. Whether you’re interested in seeing talented opening acts like Tomorrows Bad Seeds and Forever the Sickest Kids, or if you want to witness big time artists such as House of Pain and Papa Roach, House of Blues Anaheim can quench your musical thirst. All shows mention here start at 8:00pm. For a complete list of forthcoming House of Blues Anaheim concerts visit the HOB Anaheim official website. Doors open for shows an hour before start time. |
