On April 10th, 2010, Orange County is going to have the third annual Punk Rock Picnic which will feature live music from Supersuckers, Youth Brigade, The Dickies, DI, Narcoleptic Youth, Naked Aggression, SEENLESS, Youth Gone Mad, Skatanic Rednecks, Bonecrsher, Mike Vallely by the Sword and many more to make up some 30 something bands in total.

The fundraiser will benefit The Finding A Way Foundation, a not for profit origination that helps and educates in Autism.  Specifically, according to a press release, is to help the foundation find a permanent warehouse facility to provide hands on lessons in the Arts and Music to Autistic and special needs children and their families.

In the past the picnic has been held at Irvine Lake (in both 2008 and 2009) and has featured bands such as SiX, Guttermouth, The Adolescents, Cadillac Tramps, TSOL  and many many others including lots of local bands.

The picnic will not only feature great music however. The move to the larger venue will provide more space for BMX and skateboard areas for shows by pro riders on two large Halfpipes , live art by Paul Kostabi of Youth Gone Mad, roller derby demos by The Renegade Roller Girls (of Orange County) and ons of product giveaways as well this year and a raffle with some pretty sweet prizes.

 From the press release:

The OC Punk Rock N Roll Picnic is quickly gaining momentum not only as a staple inthe local punk rock community but in the action sports community as well. The Picnic began as and remains a fundraiser for The Finding A Way Foundation, a grassroots local non profit whose ultimate goal is to unite the community through music, arts, and action sports while bringing autism awareness about through a non conventional arena.

Tickets are $20 at the door, $15 advanced. Doors open at 11AM the day of the event.
