Sunday Feburary 28th, 2009. MARK THAT DATE !!!!!! Attika's Freak Show will feature some great hard metal at the Galaxy Theater in Santa Ana. Its a show that can't be missed.

Attika’s aggressive rock/metal is a sound that is quite refreshing , this coming from a guy that grew up listening to Pantera, Black Sabbath, and Godsmack; three bands that Attika credits as their influences on their Myspace page.

Many of the songs performed by Attika were written in the vacuum of a prison environment. The confinement of a federal prison can bring out the deepest feelings from a man’s innermost soul. In this state of mind, the inspiration can be found to create beautiful things --- sometimes dark, and other times light, but always sweet to the ear.

The band’s members is made up of Jay on vocals, Rusty on guitar, Tony (formally of Static-X and Ministry) on bass, and OC local Dan on drums which together put a smooth blend of hard, very aggressive rock, with ripping guitar solos and a vocals ready to kick rock in the teeth.

Los Angeles’ 40 Cycle Hum will also be performing, the band have been gaining the praise of audiences with their unique blend of melody and metal. With razor-sharp hooks and chops to spare, this hard-rock quartet is ready to hit the mainstream. Armed with musically dynamic songs and catchy vocal melodies, 40 Cycle Hum has all the elements of a hard rock success story.

Also appearing at the show will be Orange County local band SIX which we spoke about before Musink. The sad part here is we weren’t able to make it to see SIX perform but I think somebody is looking out for me, giving me a chance to finally see them live. Make sure you don’t miss them either!

Rounding out the night will be performances from Kaustik, K 626, Tijuana Bullfight, & Wheelchair Bandits.

For more information you can visit the Galaxy Theater website, or Attikas’ Myspace.
