We couldn’t really pass up the opportunity to see, and shoot the alternative/progressive rock power trio known as Oedipus last night at the legendary Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip. The group, which is sometimes compared to 311 and Muse has been described by ScenePointBlank.com as "a three piece making more noise than a three piece rightly should, [Oedipus] manage the type of grandiose, over-sexed, balls out, guitar rock that are both melodic and epic".

Having mainstream success overseas, mainly Poland doesn’t mean the trio doesn’t have success in USA as seen by the sold out Roxy Theatre. One of their hit singles, "Tres Las", is featured on CD, “NOW That's What I Call Music Vol. 1” with company like Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry.

The band doesn’t only has one more show lined up at this time, on March, 12th at the Deer Lounge in Oja, California. However they promise that 201 will be the year they take the united states by storm.

Enjoy some pictures from the event, and for more information, check out their website http://www.oedipusband.com. Pictures by Erik Jordan.
